Star of the war: He is real, and represents what America is trying to do.

I went to bed with and woke up with sadness and a feeling loss; it always surprises me that I still grieve so for my yesterdays. But when I opened my e-mail I found the following I wish I could say it took away my sadness ; but what it did was show me that Sarah Palin is right these are our heroes, these beautiful men and women who so proudly wear the uniform of the United States. But it is also a side of the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan the News does not cover. Governor Palin does as she goes to the hospitals as she visits troops as they help build schools and then teach the kids; and she does it not for a photo-op, but because her heart cares and yes I would say hurts for these “Unsung Heroes”.

No, the News will not write about John Gebhardt, but his wife and friend will.

John Gebhardt 's wife, Mindy, said that this little girl's entire family was executed. The insurgents intended to execute the little girl also, and shot her in the head...but they failed to kill her. She was cared for in John's hospital and is healing up, but continues to cry and moan. The nurses said John is the only one who seems to calm her down, so John has spent the last four nights holding her while they both slept in that chair. The girl is coming along with her healing.

James Gates U. S. Navy, says the American public needs to see pictures like this and needs to realize that what we're doing over there is making a difference. Even if it is just one little girl at a time.

68 years ago today we lost a-lot of American Heroes may we never forget;
Freedom is Not Free. The cost is high: a Hero’s death. Sarah says “we must not let those freedoms be taken from us, because the cost was too high.”

May God Bless America, and may He hold the fallen in His arms as they face their last roll call.
